Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Callum Hudson-Odoi
After receiving his first senior call-up for England, it was made clear that Callum Hudson-Odoi is one of the most promising youngsters in Europe, so there’s no wonder that clubs are expressing their interest in him.
In January, he was close to a move to Bayern Munich, but Chelsea insisted that he is not for sale, despite the player himself filing a request for transfer.
Recently, it was rumoured that Borussia Dortmund is monitoring the forward, as he can be a reliable option if Jadon Sancho leaves Bundesliga for the Premier League.
Sancho himself recommended Bundesliga to his teammate, as it could be a great place for him to develop into an even better player.
According to German newspaper Bild, the race for Callum Hudson-Odoi just intensified, as Liverpool are also after him, looking forward to signing him this summer. And we expect this list of clubs interested in the young player’s signature to grow over the past months.
Chelsea’s prized asset was also praised by England manager Gareth Southgate, who was impressed by the way he blended into the senior squad.
“Callum’s fitted in brilliantly and I won’t hesitate to start either [him and Jadon Sancho] – they’re ready,” the boss said.
“He has people like Eden Hazard ahead of him but he’ll be absolutely fine, no doubt,” Gareth Southgate added, referring to the lack of game time at Chelsea. Nevertheless, if the Belgian winger leaves this summer and the Callum Hudson-Odoi remains at Stamford Bridge, he could be a real contender for this position
