Real Madrid will have 500 million to spend during the summer
It’s no secret that Real Madrid is one of the richest clubs in the world and during each transfer window, they can end up spending ridiculous amounts of money, just to sign the players on their list. And this summer will be no exception.
Shortly after his re-appointment as a manager, Zinedine Zidane revealed that he already has his eyes on a few players, but they won’t come for cheap, so Florentino Perez confirmed that he will have a generous transfer budget.
Fabio Capello, who previously managed Los Blancos, during the 1997/97 and 2006/07 seasons, and currently works as a pundit revealed that he has information on how much the Madrid club is willing to spend.
“I was in Barcelona and I was told that this year Real Madrid have 500 million euros to spend,” he said to Sky Sports Italy, claiming that he obtained this information from “someone who knows a lot” about the club.
Obviously, this is a huge budget, but it’s not a surprise that they are willing to spend that much, considering their poor season, in which they have struggled to deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure and sacked two managers, Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari, before Zinedine Zidane accepted president Florentino Perez’s offer.
Therefore, we’re looking forward to seeing a major overhaul of this squad, including some major signings, able to help Los Blancos win trophies again.
